Biography Gary Lutes is a native of the Greater Toronto Area and a graduate of Ryerson University.
His career began in the printing industry but quickly expanded into consumer product merchandising. He launched a direct response merchandising firm that distributed products in both Canada and the USA to mass merchant retailers, catalogs, and shopping channels.
Gary later became a founding partner of Maverick Sales Group Ltd., which represented various companies across North America for over two decades.
By chance, Gary got involved in the commodity consumables market when an associate asked him to source garbage bags. This prompted the creation of the “STREET SIDE” brand of garbage bags, which evolved into a major promotional brand before being purchased by a competitor.
In recent years, Gary has focused his efforts with LUTESCO Inc., which represents companies with consumable products such as sugar, beverages, and items related to the poly industry. With the help of longstanding international associations, LUTESCO has also started exporting to China.
Additionally, Gary is the founding director of FOOTPRINT NORTH Inc., where he is responsible for business development and customer relationships.
